Here, bashers, here is an example of the kind of people that you are trying to deny Brilacidin-OM to, for your own selfish gain. From the Comments section after the article:

My husband had stage 4 tongue and neck cancer last year and under went 6 weeks of chemo and full round the neck and face radiation daily. Luckily they now believe he is cured. When he was undergoing treatment, the interior of his mouth, neck and throat were open weeping sores. But he still had to swallow and it he said it was a 10 on the pain scale. His oncologist prescribed oxycodone and fentanyl patches. I had issues almost every medication fill. I would be sleepless the night before we were to try to pick up his meds because the pharmacies would always throw up some kind of road block to getting his medications. Last year he needed a fill the day after Xmas. I called around on Xmas eve to see which pharmacy would have the quantity to fill for that day's pick up. (you can not get a partial fill). Walgreens would not tell me if they would have the quantity to fill his prescription and actually suggested I drive from Walgreens to Walgreens presenting his VALID prescription and see if a particular store might have the needed quantity. One time when they refused to fill his prescription saying it was too early even though he was taking the medication as prescribed, I asked the pharmacist which ER I should take him to as he was out of medication and would begin to go through withdraw. She filled the script then. My husband is doing fine and no longer takes pain medicine. When he needed it though, it was a constant battle. Not the Doctors who said the medications were created for cancer patients but the pharmacies. I have a lot of sympathy for pain patients in this struggle. It is a monthly nightmare and should not be.
