We are gathering too like so many families and close friends really just a few. I caught your other post the other day but my focus right now is out the window....it was something personal do believe... oh I got it it was about budgeting for Christmas, thanks to my wife she handles that, puts so much away during the year same with our pets. I think our pets eat better than I do but that is OK they are Republican kitties. ; - ) ....anyways I was going to pull Christmas stuff down today but end up working outside along the fence line. I generally put up 1/2 of the inside lights then half of the outside light then another day I complete the rest meaning I do the electrical etc. Last years Thanksgiving was actually a bit bleak but my close neighbor initially helped my wife pull the Nativity scene stuff down and a few basic lights for the tree. For some reason (actually good) I seemed to have a Quad Bi-pass last year and I should actually thank my other neighbor who seems to not understand what type of neighborhood we live in, he seems to have trouble with his middle finger, might have extensive arthritis since it is always pointing up and his arm seems to be moving upward too or at the same time. I get to enjoy doing all the lights inside and outside once again however, when it comes to decorating the tree I put the Angel on top of the tree and secure it and exactly 1000 lights on the tree. I watch my wife smile and sing along with playing Christmas music during this beatifull experience in time.
Now back to Thanksgiving.... I generally buy from Trader Joe's a turkey that has been brine and not frozen of course. So this year I will buy that and my neighbor (CLOSE ONE) said he wants to buy a larger, but a typical type turkey and brine it himself as he does all that, man he can smoke meat big time he is from Alaska...will family and friend be able to taste the difference?
