The technology of electromagnetic fields against pain, available in a portable device for personal use

ActiPatch® is an innovative portable electronic micro device that acts against muscle and joint pain and helps restore damaged cells

Almost 20% of the Spanish population suffers from some type of chronic pain, that is, the one that does not end when the disease that caused it ceases and persists over time repeatedly, in a period greater than three months after its appearance. Sometimes there is no clear cause that justifies chronic pain, but there are some situations that can trigger it. According to the Spanish Society of Primary Care Physicians, more than 50% of consultations in Primary Care services are related to this type of pain, which may appear in the form of discomfort, puncture, tingling, burning sensation or stiffness.

The World Health Organization (WHO) considers that chronic pain is a disease in itself and its treatment must be a human right, an initiative that aims to highlight the need to relieve physical suffering caused by some diseases. This persistent pain also causes sleep disturbance, lack of concentration and changes in mood.

Within musculoskeletal ailments, osteoarthritis is the one that occurs most frequently in the elderly and becomes responsible for the loss of mobility. In Spain, according to the results of the latest study of the prevalence of rheumatic diseases in the adult population (EPISER 2016), conducted by the Spanish Society of Rheumatology, about 300,000 people have been affected by rheumatoid arthritis. Other diseases such as fibromyalgia, migraines and diabetic foot are some of the main ailments among patients suffering from chronic and acute pain.

On the other hand, all those people who play sports and perform a physical activity, of greater or lesser intensity, regularly suffer injuries that result in muscle and joint pain, tennis elbow, sprains and strains, contractures, tendonitis or plantar fasciitis.

Treatment without pain medications

Reducing pain is one of the main health challenges. There is still no definitive cure for many types of ailments, but once again technological innovation is put at the service of health to relieve your symptoms. The technology of the electromagnetic fields, used for decades in hospitals and clinics for its safety and efficacy, has been evolved to be used personally.

ActiPatch® is a new portable therapeutic microdevice that uses the energy of electromagnetic fields to act on the focus of muscle and joint pain, restore damaged cells and accelerate wound healing. Thanks to its portability and ergonomics, it can be used anytime, anywhere. It does not contain drugs or produce side effects, so it is especially indicated for those patients with prolonged treatments with high doses of analgesics and anti-inflammatories.

The ActiPatch® system is based on pulsed shortwave radio frequency and emits 1,000 electromagnetic pulses per second of low frequency (27 MHz), that is, an intensity 200 times lower than that emitted by a mobile phone. Stimulation by electromagnetic fields, which activates and reorganizes cells, favors the decrease in pain perception and improves physical activity, rest and quality of life.
