The slavery happen and we all know that to be so...both black/white people sold and treated as such. I don't like the give me attitude some have but many regardless of color do so. The learning process of no longer Stereotyping takes generations yet that tinge is ready to enact if I am not secure in myself.
Take for instance (the Holocaust) Man....whoa!!! talk about against humanity. I am not Black not Jewish and love talking with people about anything in this world but sure we can be ready to slander anyone in what we feel is defending ourselves? At any rate my Mom is 92 years old, I look at when I was born and my own handicaps (from birth) but I look at some of the Jews on TV and wonder why they are asking for money when the Holocaust ended 1941-45. My Mom was age 14-18 between those years. What in the world have these people been doing all these years that they still need money, yes I realize it isn't just those from the Holocaust era but is being used to try and get people to donate.
A perfect example...recall the Ellen show where Michelle Obama reacted when Ellen said "you people" ...in another 20 years Michelle will probably not react to that comment as she knows it wasn't a jab and Ellen will no longer use the "you people" comment. I did the same thing years ago to a director and he responded like she did and I looked at him like what in the world is the problem...the people is a learning process but felt by some as brings up a difference or mentioning color when you are talking to the opposite color interaction. Everyone given enough time and grace will learn and shake off heritage teachings and differences.
All in a nutshell but hard for whoever..."We need to find NOT the differences in each other but rather the similarities in each other.
...except the democrats ; - )
