I think the intent is to be more of a webinar software than a video conferencing software.
If you have ever watched a Facebook Live event, it is basically one person doing a live talk to multiple people. There are capabilities to split screens and such, but for the most part is many people watching one person present. This seems more our intent. This is also true of webex, where there is one presenter and multiple people watching. You can switch who is the presenter and share screens, etc...
Video conferencing is basically multiple people talking to each other and everyone is equal. Usually everyone has a camera on themselves and you can see every person.
That being said, I think it would behoove Zoom, or any of the other video conferencing companies out there, if possible, to add our capabilities to their video conferencing software. They become that much more powerful. FB Live and Webex would also benefit from having the abilities to place interactive links inside the software.
Regardless, until we hear more from Verb about the capabilities of Verb Live, we have absolutely no idea and are just going off the little crumbs that have been given to us....and our imagination. But I sure like what I see so far.
