My belief is that to keep on an even keel one has to plan that everything will take the longest time possible. That way, anything out of the ordinary can only be an improvement. To put artificial timelines on events over which we have no control or complete information is just setting oneself up for major disappointment.
So for OM, we have had word that we are in negotiations with others (heavy on the s in others) as to becoming a partner, but there have also been WAGs saying that IPIX could decide to take this indication to market by themselves. So in this case, I expect the latter to happen since it would take the longest, and thus my timeline isn't in the next few weeks or months. So quit worrying about OM until a deal is signed or we at least hear about interim data from a P3 that is not even on the table yet.
IBD, we know the pill is ready to get tested in Dec. but no knowledge of when a P2 will be started nor anything about the P2 as to size. Maybe it will be a decent size, maybe it will be small to get strong interim data quickly so that a partner could be found to carry the load the remainder of the way and get IPIX the needed cash to progress in other areas, such as the K pill, the OM advancement, or dermatology related indications for B.
UPS w/ AlphaSigma - does anyone have any real clue as to a timeline for them to come up with a gel/foam and get it progressing down the line? Not holding my breath until we get some definitive word.
We have seen all too often retail timeline is so tilted to the short term that it is ridiculous. What many talk about in weeks I now look at in months. Expecting near term results plays right into the shorts attempts to make mgt look inept when those false timelines are not met.
This is not being negative in any way as I am convinced more than ever that we have a major winner on our hands, I just don't think it is going to happen as quickly as many expect.
Let the other boards be the harbingers of fast results. Let this board be the voice of non-frantic longs.
