Well, you don't hand toxic lenders 50% discounted shares because your company has "value."
The writing is, and has been, on the wall for a long time.
In fact, I personally don't feel that, at the time, those that consider themselves investors didn't make enough of a clamor over the preferred shares Berman handed himself, or the private label / tv ads lie.
