I've let far more of those go, right up until I decided not to anymore.
Here's the deal. While I have no developmentally challenged people in my extended family I have a friend and an acquaintance who do.
Simple human decency, and the empathy that usually comes long with that, dictate that I not use words, even on a board, that might hurt in person the people who have such family members.
I distinguish genetic diseases, accidents of birth, racial differences and gender anomalies as off limits for the smarmy grammar school level comments you like to throw around.
I distinguish all of that from the kinds of behavior that earn contempt, ridicule and yes, insult.
Your deep psychological problems are for you to deal with, but not for you to spam this board with.
So I will take this one down, the explanation I've furnished being sufficient to satisfy most decent people as to the appropriateness of my decision.
And I will forward anymore such posts from you or others to Administration to let them make the call as to whether such posts constitute a TOS violation. I think we both know which way it will go.
