"Excellagen has a reimbursement code by the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System that has a unique Q Code designation 4149 referred to as a skin substitute."
I looked up the code in the Medicare fee schedule and there is no value assigned. Not surprising as "skin substitute" is very generic. Just curious if Olaregen has begun the process of seeing if Medicare is going to cover the product and if so, how much will they reimburse. Are they going to be assigned a more specific HCPCS code for the product?
This code was assigned back 2014.
