Tao Minerals is a gold exploration and minerals development company headquartered in Colombia. Due in part to the strong foreign investment climate in Colombia, the company has chosen to focus its energies on this highly promising and traditionally overlooked region. With property already secured in the region, Tao plans to acquire a majority interest in two additional properties in the region.
As a result of political reforms that included a new and improved mining code, Tao entered Colombia four years ago to explore and mine select gold projects. The company is strategically positioned to focus on a historically active, yet underexplored gold belt in the Antioquia department of Colombia that represents significant potential to provide a rapid return of initial capital investment. Utilizing state-of-the-art mining technology and readily available skilled labor, Tao’s goal is to create value through the low-cost acquisition and exploration of hard rock gold projects in Colombia that have the potential to produce consistent cash flow and attain rapid profitability from current operations. Based in Medellin, Colombia, Tao Minerals Ltd. was one of the first exploration companies to enter Colombia to capitalize on its enormous potential for gold and precious metals mining. Colombia hosts part of the Andes mountain range that contains many prolific mineralized systems that extend from Panama in the north through to the major mining regions of Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina, yet unlike these countries, it has been under explored in modern times.

Tao has acquired two mining properties - Golondrina and El Comillo in Colombia - Tao is poised to make important new discoveries in the under explored gold fields of Colombia. In addition, the company has the Whale Mine property in Nevada, USA.
TAON ) is very pleased to announce that it is in the final stages of negotiations to acquire a 9900 hectare mining concession in the Sur de Bolivar region of Colombia. The property is located in the regions of Ahuyama and Montecristo (Department of Bolivar) and contains both alluvial and hard rock prospective gold zones. !!!!
Sur de Bolivar (South Bolivar) region of Colombia . Government recorded gold production from the region, between 1987 and 1994 is ca. 1,271,000 ounces of gold, and the region is presently reporting the highest annual gold production in Colombia , averaging ca. 275,000 ounces per year since 1991.
