Pretty cool devices, but none of the nurses who administered the shots knew how to use the syringe properly. I found that out later, when I got to take some home and stick myself.
The sleeve is triggered by the plunger pressure. At the bottom of the stroke the pressure gets harder. So in order to dispense the last amount of liquid and activate the sleeve, you need to apply more pressure to the plunger. All the nurses pulled it out and disposed of it without ever activating the sleeve.....or dispensing the full 40mg.
I was actually doing the same thing until I accidentally activated the sleeve on one of them. Then realized these are the safety syringes I've heard about and that they needed to be used differently than a non-safety syringe.
Anyway, it's a good product, but there needs to be instruction to both hospital workers and patients on how to properly use them.
