The rate of cancers in vets returning from the Middle East is rising dramatically and yet the VA won't consider them as service-related. Why the hell would young people in their prime be getting such high rates of cancer if not related? The only answer is that they do not want to help pay for the treatment and I find this not only reprehensible but bordering on treasonous. Of course, if they were illegals we would be emptying the purse for them just as we do now for their health care, lodging, food, schooling, etc.
Whatever, this is my favorite time of year and I will let IPIX run it's course without my constant oversight of daily happenings. This is the time for faith and family and looking at the far bigger picture.
Lots of upcoming celebrations. My birthday is Tues, then my leatherneck brethren and I celebrate another glorious year for our Corps Sunday and all Vets are celebrated next week.
I take exception to the song "Some Gave All" as those who died paid the ultimate price, but ALL vets gave their all while serving. The Armed Forces are a brotherhood of men and women willing to die for one another to help protect this country and every unit across all branches believes they are the best. That is the way it should be as every unit is needed to work at utmost efficiency to help keep casualties to a minimum and to let the front line units succeed in achieving their missions. Proud to be among that group of Americans.
