I come from a southern farming family background... going back many generations. I know what it’s like to go through change and take a stand. God’s stand. As for me and my house, we serve a color blind God and (through his son) we are shown to love one another equally. God promised me from the beginning... all I had to do was take a step in faith and he would always put the ground under my feet and clear the path. He’s never let me down. I have a community family full of all kinds of brothers and sisters now. Heaven on earth... the way it is meant to be... as heaven is... it’s not a color-exclusive club lol.
And don’t take it personally, any of you, but MINE are the most beautiful and wonderful kids on the planet lol. My daughter has been personally shattering the bonds of prejudice all her life. She has a very special God-gifted power over hate. All she had to do was crawl on your lap and put your face in her hands and you were hers. Even today at she can do it... and I’ve never had to lift a worried finger, another promise God made. I tell people all the time... my wife and I thought we were actually saving them...
I had an opportunity to take them to the African American museum last summer thanks to a dear friend. (We) needed to see the struggles and accomplishments that have been made throughout history. Taking them through the slavery part was terribly difficult, knowing they and I come from (totally) opposite sides of generational history...
The beautiful part was ALL the wonderful accomplishments in science, music, arts and theater, sports etc... everything that you could possibly dream... showing them (and me) that nothing can stop the human spirit inside you... and with God in your heart you can do so. much. more...
And I too think its very important that they (see) Dr. Dalton and company bring so much blessing to so many.
I certainly couldn’t do it.
