The only previous chants of "lock HER up" occurred at the manic Trump "rallies" of his rabid and extremely partisan followers.
The crowd at the ball park was not a concentration of any particular type of person or political attitudes. They were baseball fans and their "partisanship" involved whether they were cheering for the Nats or the Stros.
I presume---reasonably, I believe--- that the folks chanting "lock HIM up" were a mixture of Democrats, independents and rightfully disgusted Republicans. And, unlike the choreographed cowards at Trump's Klan rallies, the baseball fans said what they said TO HIS FACE.
Criticizing Democrats for the spontaneous outpouring of disgust at the ballpark last evening is not just unfair, it's silly.
2. Anyone who didn't see this coming
is a political moron.
It was fabulous and well earned - what's good for the goose is good for the gander. You reap what you sow. Same kife stick goat, stick sheep and on and on and on.
Fuck the detractors. It was a zing of beauty.
6. People on social media losing their damn minds saying "Respect the office of the President"
These posts are always oh so moderate and calm talking about respecting the office no matter who is president...people need to wake the fuck up. This wasn't disrespected a man who deserved respect, this was an act of civil disobedience against a man who's a wanna be dictator who has zero respect for his office, the Constitution, or the rule of law.
I'm sick of these people who want to pacify this fool and act like these are normal times...these are not normal times. Someone at work today was like "Well I'm not in to politics but they should be ashamed"...I flipped I just said "Well if you woke up to just how important politics are you might have a grasp of what these people were protesting"
