As far as the attorney for J&J, he appeared very dry, and less knowledgeable. He kept repeating the same point, and he didn't seemed interested in rebutting anything that the DECN attorney was saying. In fact, he didn't use all his allotted time. He seemed to think his one point, that he kept repeating, was enough to win the day.
That's just my two cents from just listening to the audio.
As far as the perfect partner, I believe that would be Platinum. In my opinion, I don't think Platinum will make any moves until they see if the case gets Rule 36'd, and if it doesn't, then they will wait to see what J&J's next move is.
We all know there is a potential for a settlement prior to the court's decision. Any settlement cash that J&J and DECN possibly decide on is good. We've heard between $15 and $50 million is possible. In my opinion, that's only part of the prize. The other part would be a licensing deal with the "perfect partner".
