The commercial grade inventory can be capitalized upon BLA submission/FDA acceptance (this is at the companies discretion but allowed based on GAAP and accounting firm guidance based on my research). Once it is an asset on the books it holds weight, but I don’t think a normal local bank is going to give a line of credit without having detailed knowledge....this is where an IB with biotech / health science investment arm would come into play. They would review the FDA communication to determine the likelihood and/or risk for approval.
