The incoming Director General of the Port Authority of Ensenada, Mr. Luis Fernando Perez Azcarraga, maintained closer relations with the media to publicize the actions of continuity in the guideline of the port, in compliance with the objectives, strategies and goals outlined in the Port Master Development 2012-2017, document that was approved last March 6, in which workshops were conducted with each sector involved in the business lines in the port.

The CEO of API Ensenada, stated that this program and future vision include Ensenada port system, Sauzal, Costa Azul, which will be released to the port community in the coming weeks. He said that there is full confidence that the projects and actions will continue to succeed in business, meeting a very solid, with almost 18 years of work.

Accompanied with his team, made up of marketing managers, finance and administration and management of engineering and planning, Mr. Azcarraga Perez acknowledged that significant challenges lie ahead and a strong commitment to the port community and stakeholders in determining this activity, of which claimed to have full confidence to promote and move forward with projects and activities for development, improvement of infrastructure and that are crucial to the economy of the region.

He reiterated that openness to work with different actors in the port lis, with a commitment to respond more expeditiously to the needs of services and infrastructure in the various lines of business which has the port, such as fishing, nautical tourism, the agricultural and mineral bulk, general cargo, containerized cargo, fluids and yards, all with unique requirements that reflect the need to be more competitive.

Finally, Azcarraga Perez said that as part of the responsibilities of the new position, you want to keep an open communication channel with the port community, authorities, business organizations, media and customers of the port, promoting the best climate for achieving the goals outlined in the PMDP. This way you can generate a more efficient port operations, making more productive public investment and increasing the quality of provision of port services, so that this will lead to greater competitiveness, and encourage the participation of private to promote an improvement in the development of investment and productivity in facilities and equipment of the port system Sauzal Ensenada-Costa Azul.
