Nothing would be more positive than a new President.....but, who?? The reason why Trump won was that he was the better candidate. I don't see any better candidates....do you?? I sure as heck don't see sneaky Pence as being better.
Due to his inexperience and ego, he needed a good, strong team around him to advise and keep the ego in check. Because of that ego, he wouldn't admit that he needed a strong, experienced team. SO, what you see is what we got.
He literally believed it when he said: I know more than any USA President or any world leader, EVER. I know more about running the government that anyone in Congress, EVER. He knew more about Finance than any CEO or CFO or anyone on Wall St, EVER. He knew more about ISIS than any General, EVER. He knows more about debt than anyone, EVER. Knows more about anything than anybody, EVER.
Accepting that none of that is true and combine that with the fact that he is just not a nice person, and, we are in trouble. Russia; Ukraine; China; North Korea; Iran; et al and, we are in trouble.
It was OK to support Trump in 2016, but, it would be unconscionable to support him in 2018 - 2020. But, who?????
