An individual's personality type and body chemistry are also factors that determine how much, and if any at all, but in most cases youngsters should not be polluting their systems with anything unless absolutely necessary.
This issue however, will not be solved by continued persecution of users, any more then it would benefit us to return to prohibition and prosecute those caught in their back yard with a glass of beer.
It makes the problem much worse and makes criminals out of even normally responsible and value adding individuals.
Looking ahead, resources in this country will surely be more strained than ever before, especially with huge tax cuts to make up for. They of course have already tossed around the idea of cutting social security and medicare benefits. Idiots.
We need to choose our costly battles wisely, and the cost of waging war against marijuana is both an economical and a moral mistake that needs correcting.
The economical boost from jobs created and taxes collected are just the frosting on the cake, some of which should be used to fund the cost of fighting ALL substance abuse/addiction related problems, especially opioid addiction.
Morally it's a no-brainer. We'll always have outlaws and substance abuse cases to deal with, but responsible adults should have the right to possess and consume MJ without being prosecuted for it.
In this great country, the greatest thing of all is that which we fight and die for, freedom. Obviously, not every freedom can be granted, but when it makes total sense to the majority of Americans like MJ legalization does, then we should strive for MORE freedom, NOT LESS FREEDOM.
