No one likes uncertainty and especially when it comes to their money. 
News updates go a long way in alleviating concerns / worries and while it's easy for people to say wait and see, for the average investor, which there are quite a few out there, updates by companies periodically if nothing more to say, we are still working on this and progress is going as planned mean a lot.
With GNBT, there has been a lot going on over the past few months. Major Announcements on a 1:1 dividend, NASDAQ, changes to the 1:1 Dividend, acquisitions, shares being retired. All positive and all bringing benefits to the company and investors. If anything, this would make the company more aware in keeping everyone updated to what is going on with the most up to date information. Kind of like what they just did with the stock retirement.
Hopefully, as you stated before, we might hear something by Monday or sometime next week at the latest, due to timeframes so far.
