I am dumfounded, a CEO of a company with a great product says it has signed a non-binding agreement and is in “deep talks” for a partnership, merger or licensing and the stock price does not move at all …
One big problem of CYDY is that is not listed in a mayor exchange. If this was the case, any news will reflect in a big boost in the price. CYDY recently has had major news and the SP keeps solid as a rock.
Part of the problem is institutional ownership, normally “big elephants” with acquisition power to move stocks. CDY has 3 filling 13Fs:
Diversified Trust Co 225000
Inverness Counsel LLC 15000
InterOcean Capital 334700
So a mere 575700 shares in total !!!. This leads to the fact that if the stock is to go up it will need to either, spark interest from institutional investors (some of which will not look at unlisted stocks or stocks with a SP of less than $5) or, have a large quantity of retail investors (enough to invest heavily on the company) willing to go long.
The volume today was around 960000 shares and the price held, meaning there are sellers out there. Please don’t ask me why, either I am buying into smoke and mirrors and somebody knows something I don’t, or the rest of the world is bananas and I am the only sane person around (well one of the few), or the “informed” people can’t overcome the “misinformed” ones, who, for some reason acquired shares at a lower price and are making a profit at this levels, or the MMs are keeping the price down trading their own portfolio.
However, this is not the way it should work, is it??
Hell, I am having fun in spite of being in the red, hoping that someday I will sip my whiskies in a Thai beach remembering when I knew what others didn’t.
