What we are looking at here IMO is a retail version of the OBD hardware. It does not plug into the OBD port, most likely sits on dash connects to USB or power port.
It works with all three versions of the DD product.
Very interesting as the sales pitch can demonstrate it to being a lesser version of the wholesale product.
