Copy of a nonsense debunking post I just made on iHub since I noticed a couple of "soft bashers" - long-term followers - sold all on the main run - looking for cheap shares if they can dupe anyone to sell - turned up over the weekend:
The $121M DoD contract has still not been cancelled - I have been checking the "Correction" notes on the DoD Contracts website daily. Remember the original notification referred to "corrective action" and "intends" to cancel.

I do not believe the US Navy will cancel it until it is decided whether or not to proceed with a larger Multi Award Contract (that is to 2 or more companies) for award in early 2020 - for which the Industry Day is being held on September 12, 2019.
As stated in the 2 authoritative briefs I posted last weekend, in the near term (under 2-3 years) only 2 companies $TMPS and Omega can contribute any "probe-an-drogue" tankers to any MAC.

Beyond that, the "big boys" Airbus and Northrop / Grumman may be interested but that would require them to finance and build new aircraft (hence 2-3 years at least - probably longer). They are both more likely to concentrate their efforts on the longer term - and much bigger - possibilities provided by the US TRANSCOM review of how best to provide the overall DoD required capability (including some dual-role "flying boom" and "probe-and-drogue" tankers) which may mean cutting KC-46A orders under the KC-X program and / or deleting all or part of the KC-Y program. KC-Z as a "penetrating stealth tanker" is pretty much essential considering the likely targets for the B-2, upcoming B-21 and F-35A/B/C.
Also remember that $TMPS already has a number of DoD multi-year, multi-$M contracts for special mission aircraft - ongoing for some years yet:
