The fact that he puts it in a public release, I believe it. This is not an expectation. This is a straight forward black and white statement. The ads could be in the form of a flyer or a small section in a magazine or whatever, but it is true. If he reveals it, then he will be revealing the client who still thinks he has NDA with, as stated in the highlighted part of the quote below.
