However, you outline a great point. One barrier to entry in getting people to use the software is getting people to overcome their own self consciousness about seeing themselves on video. You mention how you felt your videos were miserable. Multiples by a thousand the feeling of hearing one’s own voice and shuddering.
When I did my Road to Nasdaq video, I think I almost hit the “Send” button about fifty times before getting the guts up to actually send it. Not only was I doing my first ever self produced video, I was sending it out to the world. Took guts, but it had the desired effect. I didn’t win the contest, but it got me noticed by the company and got me onstage for the bell ringing. In essence, it worked!!!
I challenge anyone who is a shareholder in this company to go to myVerb.com, develop a video, and send it to someone. Start small, like answering a question someone asks you and provide a link backing up your answer. Or give someone directions to where you are eating dinner. Or link a product you think is a fit for someone. Once you do it once, you will see how easy it is, and watch the reception you get from the recipient. And the more you do it, the less apprehensive you will be.
