Regarding big pharmaceutical lawsuits I think the medical community bears the brunt of responsibility for opioid epidemic. Without a doctor's prescription drugs cannot legally be purchased. To hold big pharmaceuticals responsible is like blaming gun manufacturers responsible for illegal use of their products. I am a conservative and believe in capitalism. Life in a free society requires some personal responsibility. I am also a recovering alcoholic. Stopped drinking in 1991. I don't blame Budweiser for my alcoholism. They did not abuse alcohol or me l did that very well on my own.
I am speaking of addiction from an experienced position.
With the direction of thought being one of holding manufacturers responsible for user outcomes if extrapolated to it's end we would hold potatoe farmers responsible for French frie enduced obesity
