Bingo! I also believe this is the likely scenario as to what may have led to RP's termination. I don't think the BoD would have fired RP unless there was some level of misrepresentation involved. NP was taking the hits on the missed deadlines while RP was pulling the levers. And as many others have pointed out, look how things are now progressing since RP's removal.
