those injections are given to my knowledge once a month ,
so not 6 times a year but 12 times ,
and my understanding is they really painful , now when there is no other choice some patients try to tolerate , but about 1% of those patients discontinue this treatment only because of severe pain...
And there is not much new in this drug , those are old drugs with side effects , change to work longer acting ... that is it.
It will make them some money because many patients are tired of taking all those daily pills..
In my opinion every SC injection done by a patients will be a big competition for them ..
add side effect , hepatitis , and I am not to worry ,
Dr Lalezari commented similar way about those monthly long active during our last CC .
