OK very good! My BSEE is in Electrical Engineering with a lot of courses in integrated circuit design and computer hardware design, from Lehigh University also in 1981. I have a MSEE with a concentration in Integrated Circuit Design and Computer Architecture from University of Maryland in 1987.
I am in Northern Virginia and at least it is not quite as cold here as where I grew up in New Jersey, and Lehigh University was a very cold weather place to be in the winter as it was on the side of a mountain!
Well here in Northern Virginia I came for the jobs, there's a huge amount of jobs for hardware and software engineers in the defense industry, which I have worked in for nearly all of my career, with just small stints working on non defense jobs in the private sector, as well as two gov't contracts with civilian agencies.
When I retire I would like to move to a little warmer climate than Northern VA, where the winters aren't really that bad, but still I think seriously about moving someplace warmer when I retire hopefully in the not too distant future (VERB may make that possible in a few years, we'll have to see).
