< I was hit by a rogue wave 1978 North Shore Hawaii.
A 16-20 foot wave hit me while neck deep looking to catch
a 5 foot wave. I went oh holy shit, got as high as possible in
the water hoping to get lifted to shore. Not, It grabbed me and
slammed me face down across a rocky bottom and shoved me
along on that bottom digging me and scratched face and front side.
It was hard and fast. I assumed i was going to drown or
get knocked out underwater. I popped up within seconds,
I did not go back in the water for weeks.
