Although this collaboration didnt lead to QMC licensing the patent they may have not needed it and developed their own.It was posted to show that even a few years ago the idea to 3d print or embed QD into products to protect then from counterfeiting is possible.If these products are in the blockchain ledger and removed once "mined" and verified through the QD security tagging then it will eliminate counterfeiting of products.Only the unique signature will be known to the manufacturer...imagine how many products or documents you could prevent from being counterfeited..I see a very lucrative business here.
