The point/example I was making about marketing was: it doesn't matter how good your product is, if you can't market it to the masses...& the advent of infomercials (for example) has shown that with some slick production & a bazillion spots on the cheaper cable channels, you can sell almost anything. Ron Popeil comes to mind as a pioneer of this particular successful marketing strategy.
Which is why I was agreeing with ohms that marketing expertise is of such importance to any company with a product to sell, & cited that example.
