The old Maxwell House Coffee plant on Houston's East End has been commissioned to process Hemp and could create up to 4,000 jobs.
Back in May, Mayor Sylvester Turner wrote a letter to the state senate in support of HB 1325, explaining Elemental Processing's plans to occupy the former coffee manufacturing plant to produce more than 100,000,000 pounds of hemp biomass a year.
In this video you can see an old red brick bldg with a for sale sign on it. That use to be our family's mattress factory for over 30 yrs. And a little history is that the Bldg/warehouse was originally built in the early 1900's for Ford model T plant that mainly produced the flatbed model T truck for the oil field boom in Texas.
