1. merge with Protegene after Dr Pestel contacts Cytodyn with Dr Pestell stating that cytodyn does not realize what they have. Dr Pestell goes all in with giving up IP, patents and basically his life's work in exchange for shares and a board seat.
2. Nader makes a long list of accomplishments we can look forward to this year and a big chunk of them are Dr Pestell's resonsibility. Most of them have not been accomplished yet and Nader in a recent interview takes responsibility for the TNBC delay and states a plan to fix the situation will be presented soon.
3. The TO is extended 1 week to include a CC prior to it's closing and today's announcement that Dr Pestell is fired.
My guess is that DR Pestell would not just give away his life's work for shares in a company and just blow off the cancer trials. I also feel that Nader is under a huge amount of pressure to deliver on the accomplishments yet to happen and he does not seem to be someone who lacks drive to resolve problems that impede progress in his life's work. There must have been a power struggle between them or between Dr Pestell and the rest of the BOD. It could be the Prognostic test licensing was sold as a done deal when the company realized it was far from it. It could be Dr Pestell was leveraging the cancer trials to get Nader out of the picture.
The things that don't make sense however is that I would think that if there was some deal brewing with BP, Dr Pestell would likely be concerned of losing control of the cancer trials. Nader has been the one talking the "go it alone" plan for some time so I felt he was also not eager to sell out too soon either. If the Cancer trials were going too slow, Nader could have replaced Dr Pestell and not fired him, What prompted such a dramatic move? If Dr Pestell was in some plan to take control of the company, He might have had to move faster than he thought given the status of deals and the speed of the cancer IND approval. It could be his plan got foiled for now but I doubt this is the last of it.
Unfortunately, I doubt we will get enough details. The extension of the TO might be just so the warrant holders considering converting have all the facts prior to the TO closing. Could be a good thing, could be a bad thing.
