Not sure what's funny about asking 30 year olds. They're the first generation to grow up in a total software / high tech environment. The 30-something's I know (slightly) are almost all working in some sorts of start up, tech oriented businesses.
As far as aging out, you are totally free to think whatever you like. Maybe get back to us with a report when you're 61 and interview to be an exec in a software company.
