It is one thing to argue one's positions based upon facts, and inferences that can be deduced from facts.
It is quite another thing to blatantly lie in arguing a position.
If an attorney were to lie to a judge, he/she would at best be reprimanded, and have his/her reputation tarnished.
At worst, an attorney who lies to a judge can be held in contempt, and whisked off to jail. (I have actually seen an attorney handcuffed by the bailiff, and sent off to jail for lying to a judge).
Yet, here, some posters feel, emboldened by anonymity, to take the liberty of spewing bald-faced lies as if they were facts.
I need not name names as everyone here knows who I am referring to.
There is much to argue, pro and con, about Cytodyn based upon the facts.
As many of you know, for example, I have lauded the science, while being critical of the CEO.
The point is that it's okay to be critical of the company, or of management, as long as the criticism is founded upon fact.
So, I would implore everyone: argue your position, but do so based upon fact, and not fiction, upon reason and logic, rather than supposition and hyperbole.
In other words, let's have an honest discourse based upon the facts, rather than a dishonest discourse based upon lies.
