Instead of whackin' the Brits further, it seems to me that those planes could have been put to better use by being stored and then later issued to Commodore Matthew Perry in 1853 to aid him in opening up Japan. As impressed as the Japanese were with Perry and his frigate, just think of how much more impressed they would have been if Perry would also have been accompanied by a squadron of F-16's. In fact, I believe they would have been impressed to the point that they would have probably left Pearl Harbor alone in 1941.
* The British seethed for years over that whuppin' and finally hopped all over us again in 1812. Although that war ended in a draw, I guess it's ending could be called a draw, they did demand that we quit calling our air force the RAF........And we did. LOL
