Actually its about us page says it was created in 2004: https://www.brightcove.com/en/company/about . So they are nothing new, I'm sure Rory is well aware of them. They also have Oracle, Marketo, etc. as partners: https://www.brightcove.com/en/partners . I would be much more concerned if this was some new company but they've been around for nearly 15 years now. Clearly the VERB team must know about them.
