Two days ago at the CYDY headquarters:
NP and RP suddenly realize that the TNBC trial sites haven't enrolled a patient yet.
NP: Oh no, how could this happen? I didn't realize 6 months ago that the legal paperwork and the scientific preparations with the CTC technology would take so much time. I thought we could start right away without having anything in place... My bad - I even reached out to shareholders in February and told them that the trial would start any day now... Richard, what is the reason for the delay?
RP: Well, Nader, it seems that the participating trial sites and doctors don't have a sense of urgency, I was told.
NP: Oh my, did we forget to tell them that it was urgent and that leronlimab might be groundbreaking in cancer research? No... I told our investors that everyone was eager to participate and treat patients... Why didn't we keep in touch with the trial sites and doctors to check that everything is done in a timely manner?
RP: I will make a call an tell them it is very urgent. After all, if our SP doesn't increase we can't defend against the low-ball and non-binding offers of BP.
NP: No, I will make this personal. I will call them myself and yell at them, just as in the conference calls. By the way, what about the prognostic test and licensing negotiations?
RP: Oh, we are yet to receive a term-sheet. Very strange thing. I was in advanced negotiations with various interested parties in November, yet somehow we had to start all over again and still await a first term-sheet to negotiate on...
NP: I will tell shareholders that you are performing spectacularly in those negotiations. By the way, didn't we promise to lay out a detailed business plan for marketing and commercialisation at the last conference call? MICHAEL, MICHAEL?!
RP: Nader, he is busy with Paulson...
NP: Right... If only we had a billionaire on our BOD who could help us with funding...
RP: ... Well... Yeah, it's a pity... By the way, how much do you think the tender offer will bring in?
NP: Shareholders should realize that I just saved them 30 millions warr...
