Another article about CRISPR treatment to cure HIV. This one combine with LASER ART. LASER ART is a “super” form of ART that keeps replication of the virus at low levels for longer time periods. The virus did not return in nine of the 21 mice in which the method was tested (42.8% cure rate).
Still a long ways to go for gene editing, but thought it was worth a share. No mention whether they targeted R5, X4 or dual tropic or what genes were edited.
