I figured it out 6 months ago. Maybe others have, but it's never been mentioned or brought up.
Is that because people are too busy filling up message boards with crap rather than doing their own DD?
Part of knowing how to do DD is knowing what to look for, where to look and when. If you can't figure out the first two, you won't be successful and if you can't figure out all 3, you'll waste a lot of time.
This would explain why people spend all day on message boards looking for a bone. Thinking they know where to look (message boards) and when (everyday), but they don't know what to look for. Wasted time that could be used for more productive things.
To use an analogy, I know if I go to my mailbox everyday after 10AM, chances are good, possibly 5/7, I'll find new mail. I know the what, where and a good idea of the when.
Now if one didn't know about mailboxes, I'd wonder how people would find their mail and quite possibly would be looking all over my property or City for it. If I didn't know the when, I could be standing there all day complaining about the mailman, post office and everything else that pops into my head.
Once you figure out where to look and when, you can learn more. But before you do either, you have to decide what you want to find.
If the "what" you are interested in is open positions as an example? Only a dozen or so places I know to find that.
If the "what" you are interested in is new hires as an example? Only two places I know to find that.
If the "what you are interested in is analysts reports as an example? Take a look at other companies that uplisted and find the pattern there.
None of this is hard and it sure beats complaining all day or arm chair quarterbacking.
For awhile more, I'll share the what, but I've been done spoon feeding traders to lazy to figure out the when and where.
