I linked your post. I'm certain that info came straight from the company, but since they "cleansed" their references to him being associated with the company, it's hard (but not impossible) to piece this back together.
Most likely, and this is speculation, the Wild Manta release was to calm down the sheep when it was finally discovered Dr. Torres was gone, hence the reference by Kyle's cronies to 2 separate projects.
Did D. Torres, aka Mr. Secret Weapon, Indiana Jones, Indy take his technology with him because of non-payment?
This comment below is from and exchange with Kyle's cronies. It is very well crafted and would be considered somewhat accurate. SeaSearcher was announced AFTER Indy left. It's still likely just a CONcept though.
