It’s not a scam, just a failure. Not complicated at all. Simply, there isn’t a way to economically convert plastic to oil. ESPECIALLY at oil prices at these levels. It would require tremendous government subsidy, which there is no appetite for right now. There are too many other viable alternatives, some subsidized and some not. Combine that with numerous plastic reuse initiatives and banning plastic in some uses, bags, straws and others, and you can see why this is nothing more than a failed business, not a scam.
