I think the saddest thing is that in principle there are non-profit organisations like the Global Health Investment Fund or the Gates Strategic Investment Fund that also invest and have invested in biotechs which could help Cytodyn with a direct investment or a loan but that they have their own research teams and don't accept investment proposals from outsiders.
