I don't know about the outlandish speculation you've warned about, but it does seem to be wishful thinking at this point.
The original point, though, was to state my interest in seeing some overt evidence of the increasing revenue that we're all expecting, any evidence. If it's going to show up in the August statement, it might be reasonable to expect it to be tricking in now.
Maybe just quietly banking it and paying down some debt? That works for me, too.
