I listened to the re-cast where the audio was decent through out. I'm not sure if its public "negotiations" or what. If you caught the part where NP said he asked Gilead why don't people want to buy CYDY when the science is so good, and they told him because its a new paradigm shift so to speak and won't sell(I don't remember the exact wording). I'm assuming Gilead is referring to the self injectable method vs pills. They don't think people will want that. Yet someone posted here or on the other board a transcript where the GILD CEO said self injectables are the future? Of course shareholder meeting NP comes back and says a major bank told him not to sell to Gilead because the bank would supply the money.
Its quite entertaining if nothing else. I'm thinking that "its new and won't sell" thing came from probably earlier talks, and was a nice way of saying "you're too small and haven't proven your science yet". We know the big pharma that said "prove monotherapy" was gilead now after todays presentation(maybe we knew that before). As long as both companies keep things gentlemen like (or gentlewoman) all is fair game.
