Yes, in a way it would be IPIX gaining a foothold in Europe.
Perfect timing.
But in the greater sense, one of the greatest assaults in human history carried out by heroes to the last man. One can only hope their sacrifice would show the world further warfare is simply a waste, but humans haven't shown the intelligence yet to figure that out.
I personally don't understand why there aren't ultra-secret death squads that would take out any leader showing aggression, either internal to their country or external. A few psychos go off the deep end, gain power, and the common man pays.
