On Monday, Quest Diagnostics announced that personal information for approximately 11.9 million patients may have been accessed by an unauthorized user through a third-party billing collections vendor between August 1, 2018 and March 30, 2019.

Medical information
Social Security numbers
Quest Diagnostics has opened an investigation to determine patient records that may have been accessed and will be notifying affected patients consistent with the law.
