From McKinley Oswald's May blog re AdvoCare
Post# of 32635
Fast forward nearly 30 years from the time I first entered the industry and there are many consistencies with what I initially loved about direct sales. Over time companies have innovated the products they offer, taken advantage of advances in technology, and continue to impact lives the world over. The side gig opportunity is alive and prevalent throughout the industry. Along with the good however, the industry has seen a new set of challenges. Government regulations, challenges with social media, the Vemma and Herbalife settlements, and most recently the AdvoCare announcement that the company is departing the direct sales space.
Every conversation I have had with direct sales executives and independent distributors over the past week has included some form of dialog with regards to the AdvoCare announcement that they are ending their network marketing business. What came as a shock has now turned to a topic of conversation as to what the main takeaways should be for the industry.
Any opinions on how this affects VERB?
