He noted that there are things to be wary of "from an SEC perspective". I'm not informed enough to know about the do's and don'ts of social media-ing for a company like Cytodyn. I know someone had mentioned in response to me that the company probably shouldn't reach out to people. I don't know how all that works.
But what I'm pretty sure is not an issue, and the first and fundamental thing the company should do is post all of their own press releases, videos, audio clips. I can't imagine there's anything foul with that. So what I do if I was them, to start, is start posting Content - post pictures of their recent press releases (even if its just the headline), video clips from their proactive investor videos (or even the whole thing), any important slides from their presentations, maybe audio clips from the shareholding meeting - and hashtag the heck out of them. Hashtagging is the key to labeling and storing your content where you want it to be. So for example, you hashtag #hiv #cancer #breastcancer etc (as many relevant tags as there are) to each post, so that if anyone ever searches those tags they have the potential to come across those posts and maybe learn a thing or two about the company. And I expressed all this to Marek.
